2020 High School Annual Conference

April 25-27, 2020 | Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas

  • $150 per person if registered by April 2, 2020. (Early Bird Deadline). (Conference t-shirts are provided.) No cancellations/no refunds are allowed after April 2. Councils will be invoiced for the number registered. Lunch at the Convention Center is  provided on Day Two of the conference if registration is completed by April 15, 2020.
  • $175 per person if registered after April 2, 2020. (Conference t-shirts are NOT provided.) Note: In order to be eligible for the complimentary conference t-shirt, registration must be submitted no later than midnight April 2.  Lunch at the Convention Center is provided on Day Two  of the Conference if registration is completed by April 15, 2020.
  • It will take advisors less time to check in on site  if payment  is mailed in time to be posted in the office rather than taking a check to the conference.

All individuals who attend the conference (are in any session, in Advisor Hospitality, etc.) must be registered as a delegate or a guest. School delegations are limited in size. Please see guidelines below for numbers. There is no limit to the number of adults who may register. Please see guest guidelines below. Attendees receive a name badge and a wrist band which are required for admission to the Convention Center. A conference shirt, admittance into a private TASC party at Six Flags and a catered meal at the park as well as lunch at the Convention Center on Day 2 are included in the registration fee. You must have a ticket to enter Six Flags. Extra Six Flags tickets may be purchased onsite for chaperones and guests who do not attend any part of the conference. Additional students may be added on site if room allows.

TASC Board of Directors Registration and Cancellation Policy:

  • Early Bird Registration: School registering by midnight on the day Early Bird Registration closes have a discounted registration fee and are guaranteed t-shirts in the amount and sizes submitted by Early Bird Registration.
  • Cancellation Policy: Cancellations may be made until Early Bird Registration closes. Requests for refunds or cancellations must be submitted via email to Lori. No cancellations will be allowed, and no refunds will be made after that date. Schools not cancelling by the Early Bird Deadline or submitting registrations after the Early Bird Deadline will be billed the full amount for all persons registered including no shows.

Number of Delegates allowed per school:

Schools are limited to the number of regular delegates they can bring (13). In addition to the 13 regular delegates, schools may be entitled to up to 16 additional delegates if the council participates in any of the activities below:
One additional delegate is allowed for each area below. You may also register up to two (2) foreign exchange students in addition to your school delegates.

- Submitted one or two table talk proposals. You are allowed one person per proposal.  (They do not have to be accepted.)
- Submitted a State Report Form: D.A.S.H
- Submitted a State Report Form:  Energy/Environment (E&E)
- Submitted a State Report Form:  Pride and Patriotism (P&)
- Submitted a State Report Form:  Community Service (CS)
- Submitted a State Report Form:  Outstanding Student Council (OSC)
- Your council is a current or incoming District Officer School or you are District Coordinator
- Your council is a candidate for state office 
- Your council is a current state officer school
- Representatives of your council are serving on a Conference Committee
- Help with a presentation at the Conference
- Your council submitted a Top Ten Project application to TASC
- Your council submitted a Top Ten Video application to TASC
- Your council submitted a TASSP Scholarship Application
- Your council submitted an application for the NSC National Council of Excellence Award

Name Badges:

Everyone at the conference must have a printed name badge and wrist band. You must submit names of all attendees. If you are registering after April 1 (or have name changes), you must have name badges printed at registration. Thank you for your help with this information and for helping ensure a successful and safe conference for all. 

Guest Registration:

For Administrators, Officer Candidate Schools, Current State Officer Students, and those with medical needs:

  • If your administrator (principal or superintendent) wants to attend, register him or her here.
  • If you are a candidate school, you may register one guest as a helper and one parent in addition to administrators here.
  • If medical needs require assistance,  you may register one person as a guest. 
  • If you are a current officer school, you may bring up to four (4) family members of the student officer representative in addition to an administrator(s) for your state officer student designee. Submit their names to Terry Hamm.
  • Guests do have admission to all parts of the conference, Advisor Hospitality,  and the meal at the Convention Center on Day 2.  Guests do not receive shirts or Six Flags tickets. Should the guest(s) wish to go to Six Flags, you may purchase a ticket at time of guest registration or on site.
  • Registration is $25 per guest if registered by April 2.  Following April 2, the cost is $30.  
  • Note:  if we reach capacity, we will close registration and will close the opportunity to add guests.
